In Year 1 we expect children to become more independent and to have respect for our school environment and their fellow classmates. The children are encouraged to be actively involved in their own learning and to take responsibility for their own belongings.
Children’s work is valued and displayed appropriately.
The children have created their own class rules and are rewarded for their good behaviour.
Over the course of the year we explore history, geography, science, design and technology, art, P.S.H.E, music and ICT.
We also have ‘theme’ days throughout the year.
