Friar's Grove is awarded the Eco-Schools Green Flag Award!

We are very pleased to announce that our Eco-Committee at Friar's Grove Primary School have again been successful in meeting the requirements for the Eco-Schools Green Flag Award and have received the award with Distinction!

'Your greatest success was transforming the wildlife garden area and reviving the pond, which has not only benefited the local wildlife but also created a valuable learning space for the pupils. This Eco-friendly initiative fosters a greater understanding of nature and environmental stewardship among the pupils, encouraging them to appreciate and protect their surroundings. Well done'

We loved how your pupils have been actively involved in creating a vibrant wildlife area, which not only enhances biodiversity but also teaches them the importance of nurturing their environment. We were inspired by your pupils' initiative to target littering, organizing assemblies and litter-picking sessions, reflecting their commitment to maintaining clean school grounds and fostering a sense of responsibility.
