Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 receive free school meals under the Universal Free School Meals scheme.
It is beneficial for families who meet the criteria to apply for benefits-linked free school meals, even if your child will not be having meals in school. If you are successful, this leads to additional support, such as holiday vouchers, for families and brings additional money into school as well.
